Directions & Parking

Make your way to the Austin Convention Center in the heart of downtown with 1,600+ parking spaces close by. On either side of the venue, you can find a space in one of our two parking garages. Go to 201 East 2nd St. (1,000 spaces) with garage entrances located on Brazos or San Jacinto - there is no garage entrance on 2nd St. - or 601 East 5th St. (685 spaces). The 5th and 2nd Street parking garages are cashless facilities, and only accept credit/debit cards as payment of parking fees.

Parking at the Austin Convention Center Garages is primarily for attendees of events at the convention center. There is no complimentary parking.

Metrorail

Capital Metro’s MetroRail stops right next to the Austin Convention Center. Alleviate the pressures of traffic, and leave your car behind. The MetroRail will take you to our venue in a smooth, timely manner. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Rates reset every 24 hours.

On weekends (Fridays and Saturdays, 4:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.) at the 5th Street Parking Garage, a flat rate of $15 is due upon entry. The flat rate is applicable from time of entry until 11:00 a.m. the following morning. Starting at 11:00 a.m., regular rates will apply.

Accessibility

Our garages possess mobility-impaired parking on every level. These spaces are located near the elevators. If your vehicle has a Disabled Veteran (DV) or other Meritorious Military Honors specialty plate, you will receive complimentary parking.

Alternative Fuel Vehicle Parking

In our Brazos St. Parking Garage, there are 30 preferred parking spaces for hybrid, electric, biodiesel, or flex-fuel vehicles, including three Austin Energy charging stations. These spaces are available to you all throughout the garage close to the elevators.

Bicycle Racks

Arrived on two wheels? Lock up your bicycle against one of our 124 racks. They are all along the sidewalks surrounding our venue, with the highest concentration down 4th St. between Red River and Trinity. Fifty-two individual stands and 33 U-shaped steel tubes make up the cluster on 4th St.

Walking is nice, but sometimes it is not fast enough. In that case, grab a bicycle from one of the docking stations around our venue. With a simple transaction, you can borrow a bicycle and zip off to where you need to be.
